2015 Grammy Awards miraculously get it right, give Best Alternative Music Album to St. Vincent

Last month I wrote a list of my Albums of the Year.

Number Eight on that list was St. Vincent by St. Vincent, the self-titled fourth album from the 32 year old artist. I wrote there that she was “at the top of her game.”

Apparently the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences agrees with me, as tonight they gave St. Vincent, née Annie Clark, the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

Normally, I couldn’t care less for the Grammy’s. It’s not like I’m waiting for them to tell me what music is worth listening to. But it is nice that St. Vincent is finally getting the respect she has deserved since day one.

Still not sure? Check this out.

Why?

Because it’s her playing Lithium with Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That’s why.

Check and Mate.
